THE ACADEMY

Founded in 2010, Shinobi Academy is a traditional dojo and high-performance training base.

We specialise in:

Hosting training camps for visiting teams and clubs
Running immersive in-house camps for martial artists and fighters
Hosting fitness camps using our fully equipped gym and training space
Private 1 on1 & small group lessons

The academy has been used as a long-term training base for elite athletes and teams, including full fight camps at the highest level of MMA. The environment is designed for focus, routine, and uninterrupted work—where training is supported by space, structure, and recovery.

Shinobi Academy is not built for drop-ins or casual training. It exists to facilitate serious preparation, whether for competition, skill development, or physical conditioning.

We started out with just a dream and a simple white mat when nobody in Lagos truly knew what MMA was. It felt like an impossible ambition at the time, but we were passionate and dedicated to making it a reality. Through tireless efforts, we built it into a thriving community where 1000's of people have passed through our doors, experiencing the exhilarating journey of mixed martial arts. I even managed to bring the biggest star in MMA, Conor McGregor, to come here for a full camp with a crew of 25. It was an unforgettable experience! I meticulously organised all the sessions, ensuring every detail was perfect, and I had the honor of cornering him in the fight. Over the year we have had lots of teams come to train, bond and enjoy themselves. We get the regulars like Andy Ryan & Robbie Brennan the bring over 50 people from Team Ryano every year for over 10 years now. The place is like this. You come once and experience and you will always want to come back. We have teams come from 2 day to too months. We can cater for everyone and make you an experience you will always remember. What a journey it has been; filled with challenges, triumphs, and incredible moments that have shaped not only my life but also the lives of many others who have joined this incredible sport.
