Established in 2010, Shinobi Academy is a traditional dojo and high-performance training base located in Lagos, Portugal. The academy specialises in hosting elite training camps—both those organised in-house and camps run by visiting teams from around the world.

Built on discipline, longevity, and real-world competence, Shinobi Academy is not a commercial gym. It is a focused training environment designed for serious athletes, coaches, and teams seeking space, structure, and clarity in their preparation.

The academy has hosted long-term camps for world-class athletes, including the entire 14-week training camp for Dustin Poirier II, and has been a regular training base for Conor McGregor, who has trained under the academy’s founder Colin Byrne since 2016.

Shinobi Academy exists to facilitate deep, uninterrupted training—where environment, routine, and intent matter as much as the work itself.

Wheather you are a World Champion with your team or a club looking to bond over a few days in a camp . We can fasititate it all. We have 2 large matted room. The White room , mainly for grappling arts and The Champ Champ Room , named after Conor McGregor , with Fuji mats wall and floor and also on a sprung floor. We also have The Green Room, this is our strenght and Conditioning room has everthing you need to be a World Champion. Wattbike, Concept 2 Rower, Reverse Hyper, 2 Olympic Platforms, sleds, Racks, all the weight you could possible lift.

CAMP PACKAGES

We provide customized packages tailored to your team or club, designed to suit a variety of needs and preferences. You have the exciting option to reserve the Dojo, which is a versatile space that can host a range of activities. Whether you choose to bring your own coaches or utilize our expert instructors, you can even select a combination of both to create the perfect learning environment. We can also arrange delicious and nutritious lunch options featuring healthy food selections just below the Academy, allowing you to take a refreshing dip in the sparkling ocean after your invigorating morning session. After your wonderful meal, you can relax until the afternoon session, ensuring you're recharged and ready to continue. Additionally, we are happy to facilitate direct transfers to and from the airport, making your travel experience seamless, and we can recommend nearby accommodations that cater to your comfort. Lagos, with its vibrant culture, offers numerous outdoor experiences right at your doorstep, perfect for adventurers. We offer a professional video package where we shoot and edit all of your workshops. Our dedicated team will work closely with you to capture every key moment, highlighting your teaching methods and engaging interactions with your students. The end result will be transformed into a comprehensive video instructional series that you can either sell to a wider audience or provide as a valuable resource to your own students. This series is designed not only to showcase your expertise but also to create an immersive learning experience that students can revisit at their own pace, ensuring that they get the most out of your valuable content.
